Living with Intention.

Updated: Dec 15, 2024

At least once a day, do something that makes you smile, laugh and learn.

Living with intention is not easy, and reprogramming the mind is even harder. But learning to tap into our eternal consciousness, starts with honoring self.

Starting this journal-style blog was done with the intent to help me: better express myself. Hopes of becoming more vocal and learning how to accept myself for the person I AM and the woman I want to become. Finding a balance and honoring them both. For years, I wondered what does it feel like to be "there". And why does it feel like I'm still not there?

But what exactly "does there" feel like? I'm reading the right books, I'm meditating (or least my version of it). I'm practicing forgiveness, I'm learning how to forgive myself. Where is this place we feel we should be "based on what it appears" for someone else?

Our experiences make us unique, because our desires are different.

The discovery I found is. No two journeys are the same so "the route" will be different for us all. Maybe we are already there. Maybe if we keep going with what feels personal to us, then we will arrive; right on time. Or perhaps maybe, the place we seek is actually a state of mind. A state of being where the spirit is resting and the mind is at peace.

Reprogramming isn't just done by affirmation, listening to podcasts or by reading self-improvement books. True change begins with the intention to want something different.

Sometimes we hold ourselves back simply because of fear. FEARS of Judgment, Rejection, and Failure create unintentional limitations. These type of thinking patterns then develop into procrastination.

Be gentle with yourself.

Learning to be mindful of our self-talk is a necessary process. Give yourself space to understand, to forgive, and to honor who you are becoming.  Intentional habits aren't formed overnight; neither are the unintentional ones.
